Kimchi Seasoning Paste and 4 Kimchi 

What is Kimchi Seasoning Paste?

With just one paste, you can make all kinds of kimchi in minutes.
Toss it with napa cabbage for Baechu Kimchi, cucumbers for Oi Kimchi, radish cubes for Kkakdugi, or green onions for Pa Kimchi. Simple, fast, and full of flavor — no more complicated steps needed.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups of Korean red pepper flakes (gochugaru)
  • 2 ½ cups Water
  • 3 Tbsp Glutinous rice flour (4Tbsp Regular flour instead)
  • 10.5 oz Onion
  • 0.7 oz Ginger
  • 3.5 oz Garlic
  • 14 oz Pear
  • 7 oz Apple
  • 7 oz Radish
  • 1 ¼ cups Anchovy fish sauce

DIRECTIONS

1. Get Korean red pepper flakes (gochugaru) ready

Prepare 3 cups of Korean red pepper flakes (gochugaru).

2. Make a glutinous rice paste for kimchi.

Mix 2 ½ cups of water with 3 tablespoons of glutinous rice flour

Tip. If you don’t have glutinous rice flour, you can use 4 tablespoons of regular flour instead.

Keep stirring as it heats up. Let it boil until you see bubbles. If you scoop some up with a spoon, you’ll see it has thickened.

3. Blend fruits, veggies and anchovy fish sauce.

Add pear, apple, radish, onion, ginger, garlic, and anchovy fish sauce to a blender.

Tip: Cutting it into smaller pieces helps it blend better.

Blend everything until smooth.

4. Mix everything together!

Combine everything you made in step1, 2, and 3.

Mix it all together well.  And you’re done!
